Understanding Sculptra
Sculptra is a revolutionary cosmetic injectable used by patients to address volume loss in the face. This injectable differs from dermal fillers in a few different ways. First, Sculptra is formulated with poly-L-lactic acid. This ingredient is used to stimulate collagen and elastin production where injected. Not only does this add volume in the area treated, but it also maintains volume longer—often several years before reinjection is needed. Additionally, this product will naturally absorb with time safely into the body where the lymphatic system will flush it out. Patients will have the initial Sculptra injection performed during their first visit. Who is candidate for Sculptra?
