Facelift FAQs

Our faces do a lot of social work for us: they tell our friends and family if we’re upset, they help us make new friends with a smile , and they help us brave the elements by being the one part of our bodies that stay exposed and gathering information for us. That being said, our faces deserve a bit of extra love and care around this time of year. The sun, biting cold, and wind that our faces are exposed to can contribute to signs of premature aging like wrinkles and sagging skin.

If you’re bothered by deeply etched wrinkles or skin that has lost volume and elasticity, keep reading to learn about our facelift procedure via some of the most frequently asked questions about it.

Who is a good candidate for a facelift?

Age and the elements add up, giving us more wrinkles as time goes on. Our skin shows more wrinkles and sagging skin, and the process seems to speed up as we age. This is because we naturally lose elasticity in our skin as we age, but some faces do show that loss more dramatically than others. In fact, you may look around  and notice how some faces show extreme sagging skin while other people of the same age do not. It all depends on how well we take care of our skin, as well as how genetic factors fit in.

If you suffer from deep wrinkles or sagging skin, and are unhappy with the face you present to the world, we can help. Facelift surgery can help remove extra skin that makes you look sad, tired or angry to the friends and family nearest and dearest to you. The results last much longer than Botox, fillers, and other short-term treatments, so if you’re ready for a real change, then a facelift is for you.

How long until I can go back to work?

We recommend taking care of yourself while you heal, allowing yourself to rest, and following our instructions closely. That being said, you will want to prepare and take around two weeks off work to allow yourself to rest. Some patients heal faster and feel good enough to return to work sooner, but you should make the best plan for you and how you heal.

How much will it cost?

Facelifts are just as individual as the people who have them performed. That being said, your concerns may vary, which impacts the cost. We can discuss these details in a consultation.
